First Look of Windows Server 2012 RC(Release Condidate

I just installed the Windows Server 2012 RC Version today.

here i try to share my first hand experience and the feature with you

1. the Server Dashboard which is new and only available in windows Server 2012 



2. the Windows 8 Metro style app Tile in the desktop for easy access (we all know that the previous Code Name of  Windows Server 2012 called Windows 8 Server. ) as a result we can see this feature had been inherited from Windows




3, to shut down or restart Windows Server 2012, without any customization configuration, i can't turn off the server from the START menu in my virtual machine.

here is how i can shut down the server, CTRL_ALT_DEL  to load the following screen.



then you can click on the icon at the bottom of right hand corner. you will see the
shutdown and restart option from the popup menu.




4. if you hover your mouse closed to the bottom right corner. a tool bar will slide in.
you can see the start icon which allow user to access the desktop tile sceen, the setting icon and search icon.






5. there is another way to access the power button via the setting screen. after you clicked on the setting icon in the right hand tool panel.you will see the following screen. the power icon in the lower section.




6. Installation of Active Directory In Windows Server 2012 should be the same as the Previous version of windows Server, however it is a little different to configure the active directory after the
installation. usually we type DCPROMO in Run to launch the configuration windows. you will get
this popup warming message




in windows Server 2012 you must go to the Server Manager windows to access the
AD configuration windows. Select the AD DS on the left hand section, you will see
that there is a warming message about the configuration require for AD domain Service.





then you will see this popup window after you click on the link with name MORE that had
highlight with red circle.





when you want to access the property of My Computer, the popup menu had been disable, instead a menu toolbar is shown at the bottom of the screen. you can click on the properties icon to access the property of My Computer.
